Draftfcb Promotes Kolkey to New York President

Draftfcb has promoted Sandy Kolkey to president of Draftfcb New York, effective immediately.

He succeeds Peter DeNunzio, who stepped down as the New York president to pursue other opportunities, the company said.

The appointment comes after the agency recently adopted a new regional structure in North America to align its resources in New York, Chicago, the West Coast and Canada.

Most recently, Kolkey had been executive vice president/group management director at Draftfcb Chicago. There, he was responsible for such clients as Boeing, Dow, Diners Club, Blue Cross Blue Shield, MoneyGram and the Chicago Cubs.

He has more than 27 years of experience on both the client and agency side. He joined the client service training program at Leo Burnett in 1983, and remained at that agency for 14 years, working in Chicago, Hong Kong and Australia on Kellogg and McDonald’s. He has also worked for Kellogg, Discover Card and Integrated Merchandising Systems.

Kolkey will report to Mark Modesto, president of Draftfcb North America.
