DR PEPPER SEES RED

Dr Pepper/Seven Up, Plano, TX, this summer will launch the first flavor extension for its 117-year-old flagship Dr Pepper. Red Fusion hits stores mid-July in 12-packs and two-liter and 20-ounce bottles.

Sampling and P-O-P materials support with TV, radio, and outdoor ads set to break as early as September via Young & Rubicam, New York City.

Red Fusion adds fruit flavors to Dr Pepper’s original formula. The company has been testing flavors since last September. “Red Fusion consistently ranked at the top with a diverse audience of consumers, across age groups ranging from teens to more mature adults, in cities across the U.S.,” says Cindi Clark, Dr Pepper senior vp-marketing.
