DoubleClick Doubles Profits in Third Quarter

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

DoubleClick reported net income of $15.4 million for the third quarter, up more than 50% over $6.3 million last year.

The New York company attributed this to gains in its data division and from Abacus, its catalog and retail arm. The online ad agency reported revenue of $81 million, up 8.2% from $74.8 million last year.

“We are very pleased that the data segment achieved record revenues, gross profits and operating profits in the quarter,” said president David Rosenblatt. “The measures we recently took to reorganize that segment paid off, as we saw year-on-year quarterly revenue increases across the board.”
