DM Sales in Florida to Rise 9.3%: Wientzen

Direct marketing sales in Florida are projected to reach $175 billion by 2007, predicted H. Robert Wientzen, CEO of the Direct Marketing Association.

Florida direct marketers are expecting a 9.3% industry growth rate based in part on non-traditional uses of direct response across a broader range of industries, including entertainment, agriculture and healthcare.

“Florida catalog sales are projected to surpass $8 billion this year and $10.5 billion by 2007,” said Wientzen at the November meeting of The DMA’s Florida Chapter. “Florida direct marketers Web-driven sales are forecast to hit $2.2 billion in 2003, with a projected 22% annual growth to $4.7 billion by 2007.”
