DM Outsourcing in U.K. Rising, Says Study

Forty-two percent of U.K. companies outsource their entire direct marketing campaign management process, with the exception of creative concept and design, up from 39% two years ago, according to market research firm CDMS.

This trend is expected to continue to rise steeply over the next two years with a majority (52%) of businesses using a third party to handle the bulk of their campaigns by 2008.

These findings are drawn from research among senior marketers in the top 1000 UK companies. Banks are the highest users of outsourcing, with 47% of organizations taking this option, the study said.
