DIRECTMEDIA.COM plans to merge with alternative media publisher Simon Direct Inc.
“The sales approach required for selling specialty direct response advertising is a perfect match for the Internet-related products of Directmedia.com,” says Dave Florence, chairman of Direct Media Inc. in Greenwich, CT.
Owned by Jeff Simon, New Brunswick, NJ-based Simon Direct’s business grew out of Direct Media’s former card pack division. In addition to e-mail services, Directmedia.com will publish card decks and Web guides to drive traffic online.
Simon Direct will be absorbed into the existing operations of Directmedia.com, Direct Media’s online subsidiary.
ClientLogic Picks Up TeleServices Unit ClientLogic Corp., Nashville, TN, has acquired the TeleServices division of Associates Commerce Solutions Inc. in an equity deal. TeleServices, an Asheville, NC call center, employs about 430 people and will immediately assume the ClientLogic name and branding. Ruth O’Brien, a TeleServices executive, will join ClientLogic as an officer of its solution delivery group, which deals in client service management.
ALC of NY Names Board Members ALC of New York LLC has appointed Darrell Ross, president and chief executive of Cranston, RI-based Ross-Simons and Susan Rappaport, chief operations officer of American List Counsel Inc., Princeton, NJ, to its board of directors. The board also named Andrew Ostroy chairman and chief executive and Donna Belardi president. Ostroy and Belardi, the company’s co-managing partners, have been board members for three years.
AccuData, NEBS Offer Lists Online Business-to-business direct marketer NEBS has teamed with AccuData America to offer marketing lists through a co-branded site (www.nebs.com). The arrangement will make AccuData’s four databases – business, consumer, resident occupant and new homeowners – available to NEBS’ 2.5-million-name small business customer base.
