Deutsche Post World Net has united its international mail industry operations Deutsche Post Global Mail, SmartMail Services and QuikPak under a single corporate umbrella. The new entity, DHL Smart and Global Mail, will be a separate business from DHL Express, although both firms will be under the aegis of Deutsche Post World Net.
Domestically, DHL Smart & Global Mail works with the U.S. Postal Service to combine small-scale domestic mailings into large mail drops, and turns the mail over to the USPS for the final delivery to the addressee. For international mailings, DHL Smart and Global Mail, provides delivery service to more than 200 countries.
Deutsche Post Global Mail acquired a SmartMail Services and QuikPak in separate transactions earlier this year. SmartMail Services provides U.S. domestic expedited flat mail and small parcel delivery services, and QuikPak, offers catalog fulfillment services.
