Dell Computer Corp. has created a new division to handle its data storage products and systems businesses and has begun selling computer hardware to host Web sites, published reports said.
This development follows the launch of a Web-hosting service for online companies, and the formation of a division to team with venture capital firms to offer Dell products to dot-coms.
The Round Rock, Texas-based company appointed Russell L. Holt as head of the new unit.
