How would you describe Sharing Spree in one sentence?
A daily-deal site that gives back to nonprofits and schools.

Tell us about how the company began and how the name was chosen.
Sharing Spree started after recognizing an opportunity to connect socially responsible local businesses with like-minded local consumers. In the summer of 2010, the company started as MyEZDeal. The first goal was to create a deal site and, secondly, give back to charities. The site built up some momentum and donated more than $30,000 to schools and nonprofits during roughly six months. But we knew we had only just begun to accomplish our larger goals, and wholeheartedly believed the company was capable of reaching an even larger audience and achieving greater results. We rebranded and created Sharing Spree in January 2011, because today, consumers would rather buy a deal from someone who gives back to their local school or nonprofit.
