CVS Shutters Mail Order Center, Axing More Than 400 Jobs

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

CVS Caremark Corp. will eliminate more than 400 jobs when it shutters a Phoenix mail-order prescription center next week, according to wire service reports.

The Woonsocket, RI firm attributed this action to changing business demands and the $27 billion merger of CVS and Caremark earlier this year.

The center employs 423, but about 100 of those workers will be reassigned to other positions within the company.

A similar-sized center in Fort Worth, TX is also set to close.
