Concepts Direct Inc. reported a loss of $3 million for the second quarter, compared to a $1.4 million loss for the same period of 2001.
The cataloger’s sales for the quarter ended June 30 were $11.9 million, a 21% increase over sales of $9.8 million for the same period last year.
For the six months ended June 30, the Longmont, CO firm posted a loss of $5.2 million, higher than a $2.6 million loss for the same period of 2001.
Sales for the six months ended June 30 were $25.8 million, an 18% increase over $21.9 million last year.
“We remain keenly focused on returning our company to profitability,” said chairman/CEO Phillip A. Wiland, in a statement. “Our strategy is to achieve this by controlling expenses, reducing high-cost marketing efforts and placing first priority on our flagship catalog Colorful Images.”
