Insight Enterprises Inc., Tempe, AZ, reported $737.1 million in net sales during second quarter, up 46% from the $504.8 million it generated in second quarter 2001. Its net earnings were $13.1 million, a 10% jump from the $11.9 million a year ago.
The quarter ended June 30.
The company’s Insight Direct Worldwide Inc. division generated $713.2 million, a 48% jump from last year. The division’s net earnings rose 13, to $10.6 million. Insight Direct Worldwide Inc. markets computers, hardware and software through outbound telemarketing, a sales force and the Internet.
Another division, Direct Alliance Corp., sells direct marketing, sales, finance and logistics technology to businesses. This division’s sales and earnings both rose 3%, to $23.8 million and $2.5 million, respectively.
