Circuit City Stores Inc., Richmond, VA, will launch www.circuitcity.com in July. The national chain’s e-commerce site will offer some 700 brand-name consumer electronics and major appliances. Customers will be given the option of home delivery or in-store pickup.
Plans call for expanded offerings by the Christmas 1999 season. Circuit City operates close to 600 stores, earning $9.3 billion in sales last year.
