Catapult’s Kramer Named President of D.L. Ryan Cos.

D. L. Ryan Cos., a large independent marketing communications group of agencies, has named Paul Kramer president and chief operating officer. He had been chief executive officer of Catapult Action-Biased Marketing.

Kramer will oversee all operations for D.L. Ryan reporting to D.L. Ryan founder and chairman David Ryan. D.L. Ryan’s group presidents will report to Kramer.

Replacing Kramer at Catapult is Peter Cloutier who has been with D.L. Ryan since 1998 and has been named group president.

Cloutier will oversee Catapult’s global offices in Los Angeles, Nashville, TN, Bentonville, AK, Phoenix, Singapore and Westport, CT, where Cloutier is based.

“Peter’s leadership has inspired much of the success that Catapult has enjoyed since he helped me found the company in 2005,” Kramer said. “For the past five years, he has guided the Westport office to dynamic growth and a doubling of revenue performance.”

Succeeding Cloutier will be Bill Hewson, who previously headed the Catapult Interactive Discipline. Hewson joined Catapult in 2008 from Carat Fusion in New York City, where he was vice president and director of account management for Digital Services. He has also worked in management positions at Tribal DDB, Digitas, and Modem Media.

Hewson will be responsible for online marketing initiatives across all Catapult offices, and will manage both online and offline disciplines at the Westport office.

Executive vice president Jason Rogers will now manage the Catapult Interactive and Digital disciplines. He joined Catapult Interactive in 2008.

Catapult’s clients include Kraft, Kellogg’s, Dannon, Subway Restaurants, Reckitt Benckiser, Mars Petcare US, Fosters Wine, Intel, Mars Chocolate North America, Del Monte, Novartis, Uncle Ben’s, and Sara Lee.

Catapult was named Promo’s 2009 Agency of the Year and ranks No. 31 on the 2010 Promo 100 with U.S. net revenue of $33.7 million.
