Catapult Promotes Lewis, Hires Lowe

Catapult Marketing has promoted Margaret Lewis to partner, and hired David Lowe as VP-creative director, a new post at the agency.

Catapult spun off from Ryan Partnership in October, with $30 million in billings from 10 of Ryan’s retail-marketing clients (Xtra Oct. 11, 2005). Westport, CT-based Catapult is managed by Ryan veterans Paul Kramer (COO), Peter Cloutier (president East) and Matthew Jonas (president West).

Lewis, who had been VP before her December promotion to partner, remains the primary contact for several key clients, but takes on added responsibility for setting strategy. Her expertise is in consumer loyalty, brand value and retail activation.

Catapult in December, has been a creative director on the advertising side, with stints at J. Walter Thompson, TBWA/Chiat/Day, Lowe, DDB and Arnold Advertising.

That ad background “will be a great asset to Catapult Marketing,” Kramer said in a statement. “As the separation between above- and below-the-line agencies continues to blur, it allows Catapult to strengthen its service portfolio and to continue to attract the best talent in the communications industry.”
