Sharper Image Corp., San Francisco, reported April sales of $33.4 million, up from $24.5 million in April 2001.
Store sales were up 29%, to $17.9 million. But catalog sales growth outstripped them, rising 60%, to $11.6 million from $7. 3 million. Internet sales, including auction sales, were up 15%, to $3.9 million.
The company also promoted Jeffrey Forgan to executive vice president and chief financial officer. Forgan joined Sharper Image in 1999 as senior vice president and CFO.
