CADM to Install White as President

Carol White, president, CL Associates, will be installed as the 52nd president of the Chicago Association of Direct Marketing at the group’s annual business and volunteer recognition meeting on Wed., Aug. 9 at The 410 Club in Chicago.
The 2006-07 vice president is Michael Becker, vice president-national sales, Mackay Envelope and treasurer is Scott Reeves, account director, Performics. New board members are Ron Marsh, president, Audience Identification, Inc; marketing consultant Courtney Price; Frank Roman, principal, Frank Roman Partners, and Jay Weinberg, president, The JAY Group.

The keynote speaker for the meeting will be Jim Lecinski, Midwest director, Google. He’ll discuss “Marketing to the Interested.”

Also on Wednesday, 25 DM professionals will be saluted as Emeritus Direct Marketer in the inaugural class of the CADM’s Professional Direct Marketer Program. The six levels of recognition in the program are achieved by earning points for direct marketing educational achievements.

The Emeritus level DMers are: Kelly Abeles, Michelle Blechman, Judy Finerty, Donald Harle, Jerold Heisler, Richard Jacobsohn, Ron Jacobs, Polly Jensen, Susan K. Jones, Jim Kobs, Susan Kryl, Sid Liebenson, Mitchell Lieber, Philip May, David McSweeney, Ronald Perrella, Scott Reeves, Suzanne Ridenour, Jim Sherman, Shelly Soble, Eugene Sollo, Ted Spiegel, Bob Stone and Robert Weinberg. Randee Monitz is receiving the honor posthumously.

Cyndi Greenglass, Holly Harle, Steven Kelly and Carol White will receive the designation of Professional Direct Marketer: Gold in the program, while Virginia Kliebhan-Canavan, Karyn Palumbo and Jay Weinberg will receive the bronze distinction.
Cathy Branson will be named a level one Professional Direct Marketer.

“This support and recognition program will recognize the young professionals who step forward to improve themselves, as well as experienced professionals who give themselves to help others develop and improve,” said Joe DeCosmo, outgoing CADM president, in a statement last spring. “The program will recognize those who try harder, move ahead and serve the community.”
