The Chicago Association of Direct Marketing has named C. Eduard Bjorncrantz the 2004 Charles S. Downs Direct Marketer of the Year.
He will receive the award at CADM’s 50th annual Chicago DM Days & Expo, April 21-22 at Navy Pier.
Bjorncrantz’s 23-year career — from 1967-1990 — at Sears, Roebuck & Co. took him from a catalog marketing manager in an Arlington, VA in-store catalog pickup desk and outbound telephone unit to national manager-advertising production in Chicago.
At Sears and subsequent top marketing positions with Lab Safety Supply, Moore Medical Corporation, Quill Corporation, and JC Whitney & Company, Bjorncrantz pioneered the development of electronic publishing systems for catalog and direct mail advertising. He now is partner in The Callahan Group, LLC, Rosemont, IL, a consulting firm specializing in strategic marketing, human resources, and change management.
Keynote speakers at this year’s Chicago DM Days will include Postmaster General Jack Potter; George S. Wiedemann, president and CEO of Rewards Network and Saturday Night Live alumni Tim Kazurinsky. For more information, visit http://www.cadm.org.
