Bravo is generating buzz around its upcoming new reality series “Flipping Out” hosting viewing parties tied to the show’s premiere.
Bravo teamed up with agency Alloy Media + Marketing to give viewers a sneak peek of the show before its July 31 premiere.
E-mail blasts were sent from Alloy’s database of people 18-to-49, which contains thousands of names.
The first 250 eligible people who signed up at FlippingOutOpenHouse.com received an open house party package for themselves and five friends filled with “Flipping Out gear, gift certificates for food and drink and games.
The package also includes a “Flipping Out” yard sign to post on front lawns and a spiritual cleansing kit so party hosts and hostesses can prepare their homes for the viewing events, which take place on July 29.
Bravo received its 250 participants within 48 hours of launching the promotion. The campaign began in earlier this month.
During the parties, viewers are asked to take photos of their guests “flipping out” and upload them on the site for a chance to win other prizes. In return, participants will give online feedback to Bravo based on their reactions of the new series.
“Flipping Out” follows the life of Jeff Lewis, an obsessive-compulsive Los Angeles businessman who works with a motley crew to turn over houses and their problems. The show premieres at 10 p.m. ET July 31 on Bravo.
