Greene has aligned with McDonald's to bicycle/walk across the Southern portion of the U.S. in 36 days and will stop at McDonald's restaurants to help educate consumers about living balanced and active lives. After speaking with customers, Greene will engage them in a walking activity in their community. By mid-morning, Greene will proceed to ride between 50 and 150 miles eastward to the next city. Greene's progress and daily adventures can be tracked on www.goactive.com.

Teaming up with Greene in Los Angeles is former Bachelorette Trista Rehn Sutter, TV fitness expert Donna Richardson and former Miss Universe, Alicia Machado. Richardson and Machado will continue to support the program at various events in 2004.

McDonald's Go Active! American Challenge is a consumer outreach program that focuses on three key strategies: food choice, education and physical activity. McDonald's is working with the President's Challenge and the American College of Sports Medicine to engage Americans in its ongoing program.
