Direct marketing materials printer Banta Corp., Menasha, WI, reported net earnings of $52.9 million for the year 1998, a slight increase over $51.4 million in 1997. Sales for 1998 were $1.3 billion compared with the previous year’s $1.2 billion.
Fourth quarter net earnings were $12.3 million, a decline from last year’s $15.1 million Fourth quarter sales were $345 million a dropoff from $353 million reported last year.
Company directors also declared a dividend of 14 cents per common share, payable May 3 to shareholders of record Apr. 16.
