After 18 years, Ruben Rodriguez, the chairman and acting CEO of Bacardi, will retire in June.
Rodriguez, 68, is the first person outside the Bacardi family to be named CEO and chairman.
He plans to retire following the annual shareholder meeting this summer, a Bacardi spokesperson said.
The search for a new CEO continues.
Rodriguez had retired briefly after reaching Bacardi’s mandatory retirement age of 65 before returning after then CEO Javier Ferran’s sudden departure after less than two years on the job, according to The Miami Herald.
