Avon Taps Events and Promotions to Recruit New Sales Reps Avon plans to use events, promotions and other marketing tactics to launch a new brand and a new business model this summer that focuses on recruiting young women to help sell its products and generate $100 million in U.S. sales next year.
The brand, called “mark.” reflects the brand’s positioning of celebrating young women who are making their mark in the world.
The events and promotions will target young women at least 16 years old at colleges, high schools, shopping malls and other youth-oriented venues. Other media includes print and broadcast advertising, the Internet and partnerships.
Avon reports $6.2 billion in annual revenues.
