New to PROMO Expo this year are the “PROMO All-Stars,” a group of brand marketers and agency executives brave enough to go up against members of the U.S. Professional Volleyball, a women’s pro league featuring former collegiate All-Americans and Olympians. Two scrimmages will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 8, in the PROMO Expo special events area at Chicago’s Navy Pier, from 10:30am to 11:00am and from 2:45pm to 3:15pm. U.S.PV. sponsors at the event included Asics and Russell Athletics. New York City-based Gem Group handled. The “PROMO All-Stars” took a thumping in the first match, losing 25-6 but hey, nobody got hurt.
