ASL, Former Exec Drop Lawsuit and Other Claims

A lawsuit between two list companies and arbitration proceedings over a key executive’s termination were resolved with all claims of wrongdoing dropped, and with neither party making an admission of liability.

American Student List Co. Inc., Mineola, NY, and Student Marketing Group have “withdrawn all their respective claims of wrongdoing,” according to a jointly released statement.

ASL filed suit April 30 against former executive vice president Jan Stumacher, alleging that he and his Lynbrook, NY-based companies, Student Marketing Group Inc. and Rhina International Direct Inc., marketed names compiled by ASL.

“We are delighted [about] the resolution of the litigation,” said Stumacher. “I am looking forward to competing with American Student List Co.”
