Ashford.com, an e-commerce site that specializes in luxury items, including jewelry and watches, has been acquired by Luxi Group. Terms were not disclosed.
Luxi Group plans to re-launch Ashford.com. The new site will include designer and brand-name watches and other luxury items. Ashford.com will be led by Eli Katz, founder and CEO of The Inside Store, a home, hardware and outdoor furnishings e-commerce concern.
New York-based Luxi Group is a retail holding company for a privately held jewelry and diamond manufacturing concern. Luxi Group plans additional acquisitions in 2007, but did not disclose the nature of these acquisitions.
