aQuantive Acquires Razorfish For $160 Million

aQuantive, Inc., will acquire interactive agency SBI.Razorfish for $160 million in cash and stock.

Coupled with Seattle-based aQuantive’s interactive agencies Avenue A and i-Frontier, the acquisition of Razorfish will combine the largest independent buyer of Internet media with the largest independent Web site marketing services agency, according to aQuantive.

Privately-held Razorfish has more than 500 employees, with offices located New York, Chicago and San Francisco.

The transaction is expected to close in late July.
