Anheuser-Busch promoted its top advertising exec, Bob Lachky, to the new post of executive VP-global industry development to improve A-B’s image with industry groups and the public.
Lachky, who had been VP-brand management and director-global creative, will represent A-B with trade groups in the U.S. and overseas, and also polish the image of the beer industry among consumers and retailers.
“Bob has been the voice of Anheuser-Busch via our advertising and creative messaging. This new role allows him to channel that wealth of creative talent into another area of critical importance to the company’s success,” said A-B President August Busch IV in a statement.
Marlene V. Coulis replaces Lachky as VP-brand management; she had been VP-marketing planning & research and customer satisfaction.
Meanwhile, St. Louis-based A-B is expected to announce new VP posts for Hispanic and African-American marketing, promoting Henry Dominguez and Johnny Furr Jr. to the jobs, per news reports. Dominguez is VP-government affairs for the western region; Furr is VP-sales development and community affairs.
