Amazon.com sold over 37.9 million items between Nov. 9 through Dec. 21, including 10 million ordered via the firm’s non-U.S. Web sites.
The biggest sellers were Harry Potter books and products, 450,000 of which were purchased.
More than 36,000 items were bought by consumers using Amazon’s last-minute shipping option.
The overall sales number includes orders from all five Amazon sites: Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.fr, Amazon.de and Amazon.co.jp.
