Individual Investor Group Inc., a New York-based financial media company said Friday that a Nevada resident has issued a public apology for distributing unsolicited Internet e-mails containing company trademarks and Internet domain names, and had consented to a court order permanently prohibiting him from distributing such e-mails in the future.
Defendant Anthony Howard also agreed to pay $5,000 to Individual Investor Group, Inc. and to assist Individual Investor Group, Inc. with reportedly clearing its name from various alleged Internet spanning blacklists, according to Individual Investor Group.
Earlier this year, after learning that several persons were allegedly receiving unsolicited e-mails containing Individual Investor trademarks or Internet domain names, the company sued Howard in U.S. District Court in Las Vegas.
