Advanstar Communications has tapped MeritDirect to manage its business-to-business magazine and trade show files, effective Jan. 1.
There are 2.5 million postal and 600,000 e-mail files. They include 56 subscriber, 12 trade show, 20 master and 60 e-mail lists. Chessie Lists Inc. will continue as manager until MeritDirect takes over.
Among these lists are 15 that were the former Thomson Healthcare publications. These healthcare properties, now managed by American List Counsel and Aggressive List Management, will not go over to MeritDirect until March 1.
Advanstar covers many industries, in addition to healthcare. Some of them are automotive, e-learning, call center, science and telecommunications.
