a2b music, AT&T’s digital music distribution system, has tapped Web site developer Alliance Entertainment Corp. to develop a2b music’s digital distribution system as core building blocks of Alliance’s Internet initiatives.
Terms were not disclosed.
As part of this arrangement, a2b will provide secure digital downloads and streaming audio capability for Alliance’s proprietary Web site, the All Music Guide (www.allmusic.com). Alliance will use a2b music’s digital download technology to provide services through Alliance’s theStore 24 system, which provides affiliated retailers assistance in developing and advancing their Internet-based business.
In addition, the All Music Guide will provide artist information for a2b music downloads as well as a2b MAI, the company’s direct-to-consumer e-mail marketing system.
