80% of Marketers Don’t Plan to Use Daily Deals, 69% Plan to Increase Use of YouTube in the Future

Marketers have big plans for the major social media platforms this year, but daily-deals sites and geo-location services are falling by the wayside. These are some of the main findings from Social Media Examiner’s “2013 Social Media Marketing Industry Report: How Marketers Are Using Social Media to Grow Their Businesses.”

We already covered the other major takeaways from the report, including that Facebook is the most popular social media platform for marketers, only about a quarter of marketers say they can measure the ROI of their social media efforts and 61 percent of marketers say they can generate leads via social media marketing. Now it’s time to turn to the future and how marketers plan to change their activities on various platforms
