7-Eleven Stores Rev Up for NASCAR

7-Eleven stores in Dallas and Fort Worth, TX are capitalizing on their position as the Official Convenience Store of Texas Motor Speedway (TMS) and qualifying title sponsor by giving away 100,000 free and reduced-price tickets to a NASCAR triple-header race weekend in November.

The tickets are good for free and reduced-price admission to qualifying session races at TMS for the Nov. 2-5 race weekend. Starting today, consumers can pick up the tickets at Dallas- and Fort Worth-area stores while supplies last.

The race weekend includes the Dickies 500 NASCAR Nextel Cup race, O’Reilly Challenge Busch Series race and Silverado 350k Craftsman Truck Series race. The two-part ticket includes a tear-off free admission coupon to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series qualifying session on Nov. 2 when drivers will qualify for the next day’s Silverado 350k truck race. The remainder of the 7-Eleven ticket may be redeemed at TMS box office on Nov. 3 for a $10 discount off admission to the day’s racing events, which include qualifying series for the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series and Busch Series, as well as the Silverado 350 Craftsman Truck Series race that evening.

The convenience store franchise plans to announce other partnerships with sports teams, tracks and events for 2007 later this year, the company said.

Based in Dallas, 7-Eleven operates or franchises more than 5,800 7-Eleven stores in the U.S. and Canada and licenses more than 30,000 7-Eleven stores in 18 countries and U.S. territories. The company made an estimated $43 billion in worldwide sales last year.
