Klutz and 4Kids TV have teamed up for a new, interactive spring promotion, which offers young viewers a chance to record their voice in an upcoming 4Kids TV’s cartoon, which airs Saturday mornings on FOX.
The promotion, which begins March 20, combines an on-air, online and in-store exposure. Participants can watch never-before-seen clips of their favorite 4Kids TV cartoon series. In addition, viewers can download coloring book pages to decorate their favorite 4Kids TV characters.
And beginning April 30, kids can enter the Be a Cartoon Star Sweepstakes online at 4kids.TV. The Web site will direct consumers to the nearest Klutz store to receive an access code on Klutz branded displays. Participants with the code can visit the Web site and unlock sneak peak clips from 4Kids TV Saturday morning programming.
The grand-prize winner will receive an all-expense paid trip for a family of four to the 4Kids Productions’ animation and recording studio in New York City. There, the winner will have a chance to record his or her voice in an upcoming 4Kids cartoon. One hundred first place winners will receive 10 popular activity books from Klutz, including battery Science, Velvet Art and Spiral Draw.
The sweepstakes is open to consumers 17 and under and runs from April 30, 2005 to May 6. TV spots, Internet and in-store materials support.
Klutz is a division of Scholastic.
