1-800-Flowers.com Inc. reported net income of $1.2 million for the third quarter, up an increase of 617% net income of $165,000 last year.
The flower direct marketer reported revenue of $124.1 million for the quarter ended March 30, up 7.5% from revenue of $115.4 million last year.
The Westbury, NY firm reported online revenue of $64.6 million, up 13.6% from $56.9 million last year. Telemarketing revenue increased 3.1% to $52.3 million from $50.7 million last year.
“We achieved solid growth in our core business, including an almost 14% increase in our online revenue,” said CEO Jim McCann in a statement. “Also, as in recent quarters, we were able to significantly increase our gross profit margin through improvements in product mix as well as operating and customer service enhancements.”
