Yahoo! Inc. will drop Google as the primary search engine it offers, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Wire reports speculated that Yahoo!, which purchased search capabilities when it acquired Inktomi Corp and Overture Services Inc., would promote an in-house technology, possibly by the end of first quarter 2004.
The move will allow Yahoo! to generate paid search engine listing revenue. Yahoo!
