Worldata/WebConnect Manages 9-Million-Name CBS Sportsline File

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

CBS Sportsline.com Inc. has awarded management of its 9 million-name file to Worldata/WebConnect. The database contains e-mail and matching postal addresses.

Available for the first time, the file includes information from people who supplied online and offline data about themselves on one of CBS Sportsline’s nine Web sites. Visitors registered when purchasing sporting-related products or subscribing to a sports publication.

The Web sites include the official sites of the National Football League (www.nfl.com) and the Professional Golfers Association Tour (www.pgatour.com).

The postal files will be priced at $100 per thousand, and the e-mail lists will cost $200 per thousand.

Selects include all the standard demographics as well as favorite sports team, lifestyle and sports interest.

“We aggressively targeted the CBS Sportsline database because of its size, its selectability and the fact that these names have been collected from direct response buyers,” said Jay Schwedelson, corporate vice president of Worldata/WebConnect. “It truly makes this file one of the premier lists on the market.”

The database is available for rental Feb. 6.
