Vitamin Shoppe Industries Inc. has incorporated its Internet business, VitaminShoppe.com (www.vitaminshoppe.com), as a separate subsidiary. VitaminShoppe.com, which sells vitamins and supplements, had first quarter 1999 revenues in excess of $2 million.
The company also named Kathryn Creech, founder of Hearst’s HomeArts Network, as president and CEO of the e-commerce subsidiary. Creech established HomeArts as a popular Internet destination for women. Previously, she was vice president of global marketing services for The Dun & Bradstreet Corp.
