ValueVision International, Inc., Minneapolis, has acquired a customer support call center facilities from Damark International Inc. The site, located in a 25,000-square-foot building in a suburb of Minneapolis, will expand the home- and Internet-shopping network’s capability to provide commerce services for polo.com, a joint venture ValueVision is launching with Ralph Lauren Media later this year.
The facilities acquired by ValueVision will be used for order processing and customer service. As part of the venture, ValueVision will provide fulfillment, distribution and customer service for polo.com, the new company’s premier initiative. The polo.com customer support call center’s services will accommodate initially up to 150 customer service representatives.
