Valassis Communications Inc., based in Livonia, MI, has formed an alliance with Coupons.com to broaden its reach online, according to wire service reports.
As part of the deal, Valassis acquired a slightly less than 10% interest in privately held Coupons.com for an undisclosed sum.
Valassis plans to begin providing content for Palo Alto, Calif.-based Coupons.com this summer and will market the online firm’s service to its packaged-goods and franchise customers.
