Trimspa dedicated its entire Web site to the death of Anna Nicole Smith Friday, just hours after the model and actress died in a South Florida hotel room.
Smith had endorsed Trimspa, a weight-loss pill, and was its spokesperson.
Three black-and-white images of a gleeful Smith in playful poses were placed on the site, along with a message from CEO and founder Alex Goen.
“Today, Anna Nicole Smith’s grief stricken and tumultuous personal life came to an end,” he wrote. “Anna came to our company as a customer, but she departs it as a friend…We pray that she is granted the peace that eluded her more recent days on earth, and that she finds comfort in the presence of her son, Daniel.”
The site also included postings related to Smith’s death by customers.
Smith collapsed and died in the Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood, FL, on Thursday.
Last week, both Smith and Trimspa were named in a class-action lawsuit charging that their marketing of Trimspa is false or misleading.
Last month, the Federal Trade Commission announced TrimSpa would pay $1.5 million to settle allegations that the company’s weight-loss claims were unsubstantiated.
