Transcontinental posted net income of $34.1 million for the first quarter, a 69% increase over $20.2 million in the prior year.
The printer and direct marketing services firm reported revenue of $596 million for the quarter ended Jan. 31, a 4% increase over $572 million last year.
The Montreal-based company attributed these results in part to acquisitions and the exchange rate between the Canadian and U.S. dollars.
