The Marketing Store Promotes Hilbrich, Maclean

The Marketing Store has promoted two of its top executives to new positions with broader geographic oversight.

John Hilbrich becomes global president of agency services, responsible for setting global strategy for key clients’ brands. He’ll be based in The Marketing Store’s suburban Chicago office.

Hilbrich had been president of The Marketing Store Canada, the agency’s eight-year-old Toronto office. Hilbrich helped grow the office to $15 million in revenues with clients including Nissan North America, Guinness, Unilever and The Marketing Store’s marquee client, McDonald’s.

Doug Thompson takes over the leadership of the Toronto office, replacing Hilbrich as president there. Thompson had been senior vice president of the office before the promotion, which took effect last week.

Meanwhile in the U.S., Clive Maclean becomes president of North America agency services, a new post based in the Chicago office. Maclean has been president of U.S. agency services for the past four years, since joining The Marketing Store from Wunderman.

The Marketing Store ranked No. 32 in the 2006 PROMO 100 with 2005 U.S. net revenues of $47.4 million, up 34% from 2003.
