Swedish Data Firm Buys Six Companies

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

Bonnier, parent company of Swedish data marketing company Prospect Swetenhams, has bought six European businesses of D&B, Europe’s largest data firm, in a deal worth 13 million pounds (about $23.7 million), according to news reports.

Bonnier will take control of D&B businesses covering Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic.

The D&B businesses will become part of Bonnier Business Information, one of Bonnier’s six divisions, which offers digital business information. They will keep their D&B branding.

This move follows Bonnier’s acquisition of D&B’s Scandinavian businesses last year (Direct Newsline, Oct. 10, 2003).
