The Spiegel Group, Downers Grove, IL, has reported record first-quarter earnings of $20.2 million, compared with a loss of $10 million last year. The quarter ended April 1.
The company said that the results mark the 10th consecutive quarter of improved earnings performance versus the prior year’s comparable period.
Total revenue increased 14% to $714.9 million from $625.2 million. The net sales increase was driven by a 12% increase in catalog sales as well as a 387% rise in e-commerce sales.
