Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment, Culver City, CA, and Cingular Wireless, Atlanta, have teamed for the Spider-Man DVD-ROM Online Theatre on Sunday, Dec. 15. The online event will feature playback of “Spider-Man” with streamed audio commentary from stars Tobey Maguire and JK Simmons. The event is only open to fans who have the “Spider-Man” DVD in their PC-ROM drive at the time.
Consumers with the double disc special edition “Spider-Man” DVD can click the “Countdown to Spider-Man 2” link to access pre-show activities including an introduction from JK Simmons and previews of the DVD release of “XXX” and the summer theatrical release of “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle.” Participants can also enter a sweepstakes giving a walk-on role in the “Spider-Man” sequel or signed, framed pieces of the original “Spider-Man” costumes.
