Retailer Spencer Gifts parties with rock singer Rob Zombie and Pete’s Wicked Ale for Halloween, with a gift-with-purchase offer and a national sweeps giving away a grand-prize trip to the premiere of Zombie’s movie “House of 1,000 Corpses.”
Dubbed The Carnival of Souls, the promo broke yesterday (Sept. 23) in Egg Harbor Township, NJ-based Spencer’s 900-plus stores. Shoppers get a Carnival of Souls CD-ROM free with purchase; the CD has Zombie songs, games, movie clips, and content from Pete’s Wicked Ale and Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights (Universal owns Spencer). Events in bars and clubs support, as does off-premise P-O-P displays from Pete’s, offering a gift with a future Spencer purchase.
