Spanish-Language Home Shopping Channel to Debut

Shop Latino TV, a Spanish-language shopping channel that will target the Hispanic communities in the United States and Puerto Rico, is set to debut on July 7 — or, as the company portrays it, “the luckiest day of the century, 7/7/7.”

The new channel is a strategic effort by Grupo Innova, a television sales firm that focuses on Mexico and Latin America, and Home Shopping Hispano of the United States. The channel’s hosts will include Barbara Mosquera, Daniel Diaz Alejo, Aleen Santana, among others. All of these individuals are former hosts on Home Shopping Espanol, which is owned by HSN.

The channel will primarily broadcast from a studio in Miami, within the same complex that houses its executive offices, with additional programming originating from one of its East Coast distribution centers. The channel will offer content 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

“We have a distribution platform strategically located in Los Angeles, Miami, and Puerto Rico, in order to consolidate product deliveries as quickly as possible,” said Shop Latino TV COO Ciro Espinosa in a statement.

Espinosa continued, “Shop Latino TV, developed a proprietary order processing system, allowing capability of 450 initial points of call reception to provide the personalized first class service our customers deserve in both English and Spanish.”
