DraftWorldwide New York has promoted Shelley Eudene Lanman to senior executive vice president, chief creative officer, and Liz Deutch to senior executive vice president, director of account services. Both are new positions in the agency.
Emily Soell, former vice chairman, chief creative officer, will serve in a consulting role.
“This will free her up to meet with clients and work on strategic issues and will get her away from the day-to-day running of the creative department,” said Draft spokesman Jay Branson. “She will also be more available to attend industry functions –something she just couldn’t do that much as creative director.”
Lanman, former EVP, executive creative director, will take over management of the creative department. With Draft since 1998, Lanman was formerly EVP, executive creative director with Ammirati Puris Lintas Direct.
Deutch had been EVP, group account director within DraftWorldwide New York. Since 1998, she has been responsible for all account activity for Compaq Computer Corporation. Deutch also joined DraftWorldwide from Ammirati Puris Lintas Direct, where she was senior vice president, account director.
“Since joining DraftWorldwide in 1996, Emily Soell’s leadership and indelible mark on our creative work, and the direct marketing industry as a whole, are second to none,” said David Florence, president, DraftWorldwide New York, in a statement.
